Boom Edam Installs New Turnstile Security at NC State University

Boon Edam, based in Lillington, NC, announced that they have installed new turnstile security as part of a major renovation of North Carolina State University’s D.H. Hill Library. Boon Edam, a leader in security entrances and revolving doors, set up the upgraded security to accommodate the large amount of students and visitors during the normal school semester. The entries to the building can range from 6,000 to 7,000 with peaks of 10,000 people during exams. The new system can detect tailgating attempts and can avoid contact with the turnstiles for individuals moving quickly through. Boon Edam is in process of upgrading the university’s Centennial Campus Hunt Library’s security turnstile systems.
