AlarmQuest Buys Metrolina Alarms to Boost Southeast Presence

AlarmQuest, one of North Carolina’s Piedmont Triad’s largest independently owned security alarm companies, has purchased ownership shares of Metrolina Alarms.

Metrolina provides both residential and commercial security solutions including intrusion alarm, access control and commercial fire/life-safety systems. The acquisition of Metrolina takes AlarmQuest’s client base to more than 4,500 sites across nine states.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

“The purchase of Metrolina further validates our strategic plan of strengthening AlarmQuest’s presence in the Southeast through acquisitive growth,” says Jay Brown, owner and CEO, AlarmQuest. “We are well positioned for continued growth through acquisitions throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast markets.”

He continues, “We partner with founder-led companies in the successful, thoughtful transition of their employees and customers to our platform — we are not simply buying a company’s accounts, we are maintaining the legacy and reputation that was built over many years through hard work and dedication.”

“We are changing the acquisition model for the security industry by providing a unique process and platform for potential partners. Our priority is the preservation of our partner company’s legacy and reputation,” Gefaell comments. “With us a business owner can exit their business with the comfort and assurance their employees and customers will be treated as they always have — with respect.”

AlarmQuest is an independently owned commercial and residential security alarm business servicing customers throughout the Southeast. With offices in Winston-Salem and Statesville, N.C., the company’s portfolio includes security solutions, Cloud-based access control, commercial fire/life-safety systems and hosted video surveillance.
