AlarmQuest Acquires Homeguard Burglar & Fire Alarm

Winston-Salem based AlarmQuest announced it has acquired Homeguard Burglar and Fire Alarm Inc.

Founded in 1978 and based in Gastonia, N.C., Homeguard provides both residential and commercial security and fire protection. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Homeguard marks the 2nd acquisition by AQ in the Gastonia market, further expanding its geographic reach in western North Carolina.

“I had other offers for my business but decided AlarmQuest is what’s best for me and my clients,” Barnette said, “I have no doubt my company and my clients will be in great hands with Jay and his team.” 

With offices in Winston-Salem and Statesville, N.C., AlarmQuest is n independently owned commercial and residential security alarm business servicing customers throughout the southeast.
