WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — AlarmQuest, based here, one of the Piedmont Triad’s largest independently owned security alarm companies, announces that on June 2 it purchased the client accounts of 360 Security & Sound.
Founded in 2005 and also based in Winston-Salem, 360 Security & Sound provides both residential and commercial security. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
“We have admired Shawn Logan and his company for a long time. He has been well-respected in the Winston-Salem area for over 20 years, and we are very fortunate to have Shawn join the AlarmQuest team. Together, we will be able to provide security and exceptional customer service to more homes and businesses in Winston-Salem,” says Jay Brown, AlarmQuest CEO.
AlarmQuest is an independently owned commercial and residential security alarm business servicing customers throughout the Southeast. With offices in Winston-Salem and Statesville, N.C., the company’s portfolio includes security solutions, Cloud-based access control, commercial fire/life-safety systems and hosted video surveillance.

This acquisition marks the second deal of the year for AlarmQuest following its purchase of Metrolina Alarms in April.
Brown, a long-time veteran of the security alarm industry, founded AlarmQuest in 2019 with his business partner and co-owner Robert Gefaell, a more than 20-year veteran of the private equity industry.
